I just scanned my Flash drive with AVG (updated; free edition) and it found "No Threats Detected" But when I used Avast! to scan my Flash drive, it found the "(virus-name).scr" and when I clicked the "Delete", my MS Word files has gone, except for Excel and Powerpoint. What do you think is the best between AVG and Avast? Thanks!
AVG or Avast for antivirus?virus protection software
AVG has poor detection rates. The free version does not come with the ewido engine that is part of the pro version. it doesn't shape up well against other free products, and should be avoided if you want to the best protection for your machine. Antivir is the best free one I know of. Don't take my word for any of this though, what Im telling you is not based on personal opinion. check out the comparisons here

AVG or Avast for antivirus?adware
Avg.(free).
I used to use AVG. Now I use avast! for antivirus. I installed avast because I heard the some people prefer AVG or avast!. Somebody said that avast is better because it has better features that AVG. However, you must register for avast!. I think both is very good, but avast is better because the features.
Avast...
I have used both, they are both very good. As long as you have the signature file up to date. I find that avast is the best one for me, but when it is all boiled down it is a matter of preference. As long as you have your updates in order they are both as good as one another.
hope this helps

AVG free is the best antiviurs scanner. If you want to remove the viurs, suggest use the Anti-Virus Professional Edition.
AVAST is the best ant viurs for home user.
the free anti viurs programs is not anti viurs automatic,so maybe some viurs can't find it.
